Auditions

The application period for the 2017-2018 season has ended.

Applications are accepted each year beginning in February. Auditions are held in May and June.  Our choral year begins with a mandatory orientation in August, and rehearsals resuming in September.

Preparing for the Audition

The audition is a simple vocal assessment. Applicants should prepare by reviewing the requirements for each ensemble in the audition announcement.  Students are required to dress in comfortable performance attire (many students simply wear a white shirt and dark pants/skirt with black shoes) for the audition.

Get a good night’s sleep the evening before.

Day of the Audition

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your assigned audition time in order to complete this assessment and to double check the information submitted on the application as well as have a photo taken.

Students are encouraged to bring water.

Please warm up prior to arrival. The audition should last approximately 20 minutes, but may go longer.  Please plan to be onsite for an hour. Students and caregivers will meet the staff and have a chance to ask questions during this time.
